This online course is designed for new managers/nurses or as a refresher course for anyone to better understand Iowa’s Assisted Living regulations.

This course is intended primarily for non-licensed health care personnel who provide direct care for people in assisted living programs (ALPs). General guidelines are provided for administering or assisting with the administration of medications. This content reviews basic medication safety and the 6 Rights and three checks of medication administration. Learners will also become familiar with the various routes for medication administration. Students must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this course.
