Assisted Living Management Course
Where can you pursue a low costing assisted living manager course?
Iowa Assisted Living Association offers an affordable on-demand assisted living manager course. This on-demand course is designed for new managers and nurses, or as a refresher course for anyone to better understand Iowa's Assisted Living regulations. Our assisted living manager course provides essential training on regulations, resident care, and operational management. This course certifies participants to serve as an Assisted Living Manager in the state of Iowa. This course meets the training requirements in Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 69 and is approved by the Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL). Code 69.29(5) requires the assisted living manager to complete a DIAL approved assisted living management course within six months of hire. Participants will explore a wide range of topics critical to operating an assisted living community, including regulatory standards, clinical practices, operational procedures, and leadership development. The training emphasizes practical application of the rules and equips managers to respond confidently to surveys, support staff, and enhance tenant care and satisfaction.
Medication Management Course
Where can you get one of the most affordable medication manager courses?
Iowa Assisted Living Association offers an affordable on-demand assisted living manager course. IALA's medication manager certification course meets the Department of Inspection, Appeals & Licensing (DIAL) requirements for medication administration in assisted living communities. This cost effective course is a great training with affordable pricing. Pursuant to Iowa Administrative Code 481--67.5(2)(f), any non-licensed individual administering medications in an assisted living program, adult day services, or elder group home must have at a minimum successfully completed a medication manager certification course. All unlicensed staff who administer medications must complete the course and clinical skill check prior to passing medications. The content reviews basic medication safety, the 6 rights, and 3 checks of medication administration. With the education gained from this course you will be ready to provide essential care to tenants, safely and with compassion and confidence.
Course Includes - online training, final exam, and clinical practicum hours. IALA's course was designed by assisted living nurses to train on procedures and bet practices. You will complete the online learning at your pace then complete skill check off training with an RN at your community. Students must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in this course.
